Ghost Story - Scouts

Due to the recent promotion on a Thai ghost movie by radio station 988 of Malaysia, I have caught to the ghost stories fever...

I would try to post some ghost stories here in this blog and some of the stories are true.

Here is the first stories.

One of the place where people says to be favourite place for ghost to be around is in school.

It happened many years ago when I was still in Form One. Many of my friends joined the Scout club to learn skill and such, and every year, they would be required to participate in camps organized in school.

During one of this camp, these scouts were riding their bicycles around a basketball court at night. Everyone was having fun and for those who does not have a bicycle, they would just sit at the side of the court and look at those riding their bicycle in circle.

One of my friend, Keynes* was sitting at the side when he noticed something. Another friend of mine, Charles* was riding his bicycle with another guy standing at the back. The other fella was holding my friend's shoulder.

It does not occurs to Keynes* that he never seen the guy at the back of Charles* before because it was normal to have some outside friends (not scout) to join them every now and then until the next morning.

When met the next morning, Keynes asked Charles who was riding behind him last night. Charles looked back at Keynes with a shock face and replied that he did not gave anyone a ride the previous night.

Both were stunned and right after the camp, both resigned from the club. Both tell the stories later after they were pressed for the reason the want to leave the club.

Parking Genius

Have you been to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL)? Due to my work requirement, it is one of the place I most frequented to every week.

To go there, I would need to drive and there are alot of risk when someone is driving there. Risk like unable to find a parking space is really common and you might end up driving around the place for 1 hour plus...

Even if you are able to find a parking space, there would still be risk that comes with it. That is why I am writing this post now.

The risk is actually a problem when, after you park your car at a parking space, some genius comes around and park behind you. Still, this is common because of the lack of parking spaces in HKL and people have learnt to tackle this problem. How? By not locking your car with your handbrake (Manual) or to put your car in the "parking" gear (Auto).

But, today, there is this super genius (idiot) who parked his car directly behind some cars (one of it is mine) and to make sure that his car is safe, put his car into "Parking" gear.

Here is a picture of the super genius' (super idiot's) car...

Should this be happening???

The banner (not one, but alot) have been seen around Giant, USJ 1 and somehow, I felt that it is unappropiate.

If you don't understand it's meaning, let me explains.

First thing that you would need to know is that, recently, Mydin has just open up beside the Giant in USJ1. Being a wholesale/hypermarket store itself, Mydin's main competitor would be its neighbour, (you guess it right) Giant.

Giant realized that Mydin does not have a very big carpark and is afraid that customers would park at their carpark (which is really big) and just walk to Mydin (about 2 minutes) to go for shopping... Thus, Giant would be like paying for the parking but Mydin would get all the business.

To counter Mydin's attack... Giant is taking alot of aggresive move and one of it would be the above banner all over the place. The whole meaning of the banner is that if you want to park in Giant, you better buy something from us or we would charge you RM10 for parking. The phrase "RM10 per entry for others" is definitely pointing towards Mydin as I explained earlier..

This is what I would like to tell both Mydin and Giant...

Mydin: If you want to compete with Giant, better make your price more competitive... even though you are a hypermarket/wholesaler your price are just as good as Giant. Nothing special about your stuff really. If you want me to go to your place to shop, better buckle up....

Giant: If you want to have your business back, I would suggest that you lower down your prices... It is getting more and more expensive to shop at Giant. I have made alot of comparison and to tell you the truth, you are not really attracting me. Normally, the same amount of goods brought at your place would cost me about RM100 plus plus, would only cost me less than RM100 at Tesco... really.
