Why Some Companies Never Performed?

With experience, I realize why some companies never really perform and close in less than 10 years...

The main factor would the the interference of the owner/boss in everyday operations, whether directly or indirectly.

According to Sun Tzu's Art of War, if an Emperor has appointed a General to lead its army, the Emperor should never interfere with how the General lead his army. In the same way, if a business owner has appointed a COO to operate his company, the owner should never interfere on how the COO should run the company.

A business owner should never put his/her spouse in the company unless for certain that the spouse can really do what is required and be professional most of the time.

You may or may not agree with me but I stand by my word.

Also, the people of the company should really know when to stand by the rules and when to bend the rules...
