One Fathom Bank (Part One)

The trip to One Fathom Bank lighthouse is really a great trip.

This is where the One Fathom Bank located.

In order to make sure that we would not have any problem throughout the journey to One Fathom Bank, we fill our stomach with our Klang best delicacy, Bah Kut Teh in KK Bah Kut Teh Restaurant. Everyone is present except for ighost and the angels.

Bah Kut Teh before the trip began

After getting our stomach full, we continue to make our move to the meeting point in Eplanade. When everyone is here, we are introduce to everyone, especially the Angels and get ourselves a picture of everyone before moving to the jetty.

Those participating in this trip are KurauKing, ighost, pstan, Kimmy, Kobee, aircraft, gneleey, sunshine, lemon, siewling and of course, me. Almost forget! These are people that I met in a online forum, Klang Community eSpace Forum aka MyKlang Forum.

As someone who love photography, what else can I do if not shooting the h*** out of my camera...

The jetty is nearby and transferring our stuff into the speedboat is not that easy because of the condition of the jetty itself. Luckily, with the coorperation of everyone, we managed to tackle it easily.

How the DIY jetty looks like...

Even on top of the speedboat, I couldn't resist...

The journey to OFB using the speedboat take us around Westport and out of to the Strait of Malacca.

The jetty from the sea

Don't ask me what is this coz I am as blur as you...

Same here...

This one I know becoz it actually belong to Southern Group, the company I am attached to right now.

Don't ask...

Cargill's plant

This is where they do the loading for the containers into the vessel...

The main control tower... the control everything in Westport here...

Took a photo of me on the boat

If you are someone that is not used to the sea, the journey would seems like bringing you out to nowhere. There would be time when if you look around, you would realize that there is nothing around you except the sea.

This is what I see all around me halfway to OFB...

Surely, with the sight of OFB at the horizon, it actually give me abit of relief.

Seeing OFB in the horizon really is something...

No one would understand how it seems like to actually see a lighthouse until you are there yourself. What seems like very small initially, suddenly turn out to be more than what one would expect it to be.

Old OFB. The boat next to it is as big as the one we are on then...

The new and the old OFB... So near, yet so far...

The new OFB... Notice how small those people are compare to the lighthouse itself?

More to come soon... Stay tune...
